Super Bowl Sunday is this weekend, so invite over your mates and stockpile the best American foods you can think of, from pizza to pretzels, hot dogs and PBJ sandwiches
This Sunday is the Super Bowl, offering an ideal time to have an all-American feast.
The match, between the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos, will kick off at 11.30pm on Sunday, and Channel 4 will start its coverage at 10.30pm.
And, as is tradition with our friends across the pond, we plan on stocking up on US nibbles, inviting over mates and indulging in our very own Super Bowl Party. Incase you didn’t know, eating is a huge part of the sporting event in America, which ranks second only to Thanksgiving for food consumption in a single day.
The Super Bowl is played between the American Football Conference (AFC) champions, Denver Broncos, and the National Football Conference champions, Seattle Seahawks. This year the contest is being held at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Super Bowl XLVIII will, apparently, feature the league’s top offense, Denver, against the the top defense, Seattle. We don’t really understand it either, but any excuse to watch sport and eat lots, we say!
